University of Turbat to introduce new academic programs

QUETTA: The Faculty of Social Sciences of University of Turbat has approved to introduce new academic programs.

According to details, The Faculty of Social Sciences held its second Board of Faculty meeting, chaired by Dean Dr. Muhammad Tahir Hakim. During the meeting, the board approved several new academic programs including MPhil in Sociology, MPhil in Political Science, Associate Degree in International Relations, Associate Degree in Social Work and Associate Degree in Development Studies.

Moreover, the decisions made by the departmental boards of Political Science, Sociology, and Education were reviewed and officially approved.

The meeting also focused on improving the quality of education and addressing current challenges faced by the teaching departments. Various recommendations were approved to enhance academic standards.

Heads of departments gave detailed briefings on their activities, challenges, and preparations for the Fall Semester 2025 and the new academic year 2026.

Dr. Muhammad Tahir Hakim emphasized the importance of maintaining high educational standards at the university. He called for joint and coordinated efforts across all departments to promote quality education.

The meeting was attended by Dean of Faculty of Law Dr. Muzaffar Hussain, Chairman of Sociology Dr. Muhammad Yaseen, Chairperson of Education Dr. Mehnaz Aslam, Chairman of Political Science Chingiz Ahmed, Political Science lecturer Bahadin, and Natural and Basic Sciences lecturer Jiand Ibrahim.
