ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that Major Rizwan Tahir Shaheed fought bravely against the Indian-sponsored terrorists and his great sacrifice will always be remembered.
A few days ago, Major Rizwan Tahir was martyred in an IED blast by Indian-sponsored terrorists in Mastung area of Balochistan.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the residence of martyred Major Rizwan Tahir and met his father Colonel (retd) Muhammad Tahir and his family. On this occasion, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi were also present with the Interior Minister.
Mohsin Naqvi condoled with the parents and brother of martyred Major Rizwan Tahir, Major Usman Tahir, and also offered Fateha for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks.
During the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi told the father of Shaheed Major Rizwan Tahir that you are the courageous and high-spirited father of a martyred son. Your courage and determination are the strength of the nation. I salute your greatness.

Mohsin Naqvi said that Shaheed Major Rizwan Tahir is a hero of the nation. His great sacrifice will not go in vain. The nation will always be indebted to the eternal sacrifices of the families of the martyrs.
Col. (R) Muhammad Tahir, father of Shaheed Major Rizwan Tahir, told the Interior Minister that his son led many secret operations and killed many terrorists. I am proud of my son’s martyrdom.
