Quetta – Balochistan’s Provincial Transport Secretary, Hayat Kakar, has directed transporters to strictly adhere to the government’s decision to suspend transportation services during nighttime hours.
In a statement, he said the provincial government had taken this measure due to security concerns, restricting all types of traffic on Balochistan’s national highways from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
The transport secretary emphasized that transporters must follow this directive to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
He further instructed transport operators to install trackers in their vehicles and deploy security guards.
Hayat Kakar stressed that government-issued SOPs must be implemented without exception, warning that action would be taken against any transporters who fail to comply with the instructions.
It is worth mentioning that 9 passengers were brutally killed by BLA militants while travelling from Quetta to Lahore in the last month.
The terrorists off-loaded the passengers after seeing their national ID cards and shot them in the nearby area.
