KARACHI: Pakistan’s former foreign minister and Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has accused the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Majeed Brigade of siding with India. He announced plans to push for a United Nations ban on both groups.
Speaking at the inauguration of Khan Bahadur Hassan Ali Afandi Park, Bilawal welcomed the United States’ decision to designate the BLA and Majeed Brigade as terrorist organizations. He called it a major victory for Pakistan’s stance.
Bilawal said both groups attacked workers and civilians. He claimed they voiced support for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during recent tensions.
On water issues, Bilawal criticized India for threatening to block the Indus River. He stressed that Pakistan is entitled to its share under the Indus Waters Treaty.
Calling the river Pakistan’s “lifeline,” he urged unity among provinces. He also called for modern farming techniques, including drip irrigation, to save water.
