QUETTA: The Iranian Consul General in Quetta, Ali Reza Rajaei, along with President of the Zahedan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdul Hakim Regi, has prolonged an invitation to Balochistan’s industrialists and business community to establish joint ventures with Iranian investors in the Mirjaveh Free Zone.
The Iranian delegation ensured that their government would provide all necessary facilities and incentives to promote such collaborations, aiming to boost trade and investment between the two neighbouring countries.
In this sense, during the discussions, the Iranian officials mentioned the importance of cooperative efforts to achieve the $10 billion bilateral trade target agreed upon by both nations.
They also congratulated Balochistan’s business community on the resumption of Quetta-Zahedan flight operations via Mashhad, terming it a positive step for people-to-people connectivity and trade facilitation.
The delegation also supported the idea of establishing a joint transport issue resolution committee to streamline the movement of goods across borders. They urged private-sector stakeholders to take proactive measures to strengthen bilateral commercial ties.
The chamber representatives proposed the formation of a joint working group comprising members from both countries’ chambers, the National Logistics Cell (NLC), and transport ministry officials to address cross-border goods transport issues.

They focused on that resolving these logistical challenges would not only improve trade volumes but also create dignified employment opportunities and increase living standards for communities on both sides of the border.
