Police foil major arms smuggling attempt in Zhob

ZHOB: Police foiled an attempt to smuggle a large cache of weapons into the interior of Balochistan.

According to police officials, the operation took place on the DI Khan National Highway, where a Peshawar-bound Pajero vehicle was intercepted and during the checkup, police recovered a significant quantity of arms, including 120 pistols of 9mm caliber along with magazines.

Police also arrested two suspects, identified as Iftikhar and Abdul Hanan Afridi, both residents of Peshawar.

Sheikh Muhammad Ayub, SHO City Police Zhob told local media that the smuggled weapons were intended for use in potential terrorist activities within Balochistan. The authorities are conducting further investigations to uncover the full scope of the arms trafficking network.
