QUETTA: The Balochistan Government Spokesperson, Shahid Rind has said that protecting people’s lives is more important than providing 3G and 4G services in the province.
According to details, the government has extended the suspension of mobile data services across the province until August 31 due to security concerns.
In statement given to media, Shahid Rind said that government has taken the decision, aiming to limit communication between terrorists, adding that people’s lives are more important than providing 3G and 4G services in the province.
Earlier on August 6, provincial Home Department issued a notification regarding the suspension of mobile internet services in Balochistan to prevent any untoward incidents as the government believed that the terrorists were using the internet to stay in contact with each other.

Last month, the federal government had already banned road travel for pilgrims from Quetta to Iran and Iraq over security threats.
