Over the past ten years, Balochistan has witnessed numerous high-profile murder cases, reflecting both the challenges and efforts within the province’s judicial system.

Courts across the province, particularly in Quetta and other divisional headquarters, have delivered verdicts in several complex murder trials involving tribal feuds, sectarian violence, honor killings, and targeted attacks.

While some cases concluded with death penalties or life imprisonment, others were delayed due to lack of evidence, poor investigation, or influence from local power dynamics.

Despite systemic issues such as under-resourced police investigations and delayed trials, the judiciary has, in many instances, shown resolve in punishing offenders.

Notable examples include convictions in sectarian killings, targeted attacks on Hazara community members, and inter-family vendetta cases, where courts handed down severe sentences including capital punishment and long-term imprisonment.
