Crimes on Sibi-Naseerabad Highway unacceptable: CM Balochistan

QUETTA: Expressing serious concern over the increasing incidents of lawlessness and organised crime along the Sibi-Naseerabad national highway, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has issued strict directives to restore peace in the region at all costs.

In a strongly worded statement, the Chief Minister said that deteriorating security on national highways is not just a law-and-order issue but a blatant challenge to the writ of the state. “Such acts of lawlessness are unacceptable and must be dealt with decisively,” he emphasized.

He asserted that controlling organized crime is the core responsibility of the local administration. “When officers are being appointed on merit across districts, the provincial government expects concrete results in return,” he said.

The Chief Minister reminded all administrative officers that effective crime prevention is a fundamental part of their job description and must be fulfilled without excuses.

He further instructed law enforcement agencies to break through jurisdictional boundaries between Police and Levies and take joint, decisive, and result-oriented action against criminal elements. “Criminals must be brought to justice, and peace must be established, no matter what it takes,” the CM ordered.
