Drone strike in Tirah Valley eliminates key Khawarij Commander

PESHAWAR: Tirah Valley of Khyber District, where sources have confirmed the elimination of a senior Khawarij militant commander in a targeted drone strike.

According to the verified sources, a locally-operated drone quadcopter dropped a precision-guided explosive on a hideout of the outlawed militant outfit in the remote Tirah region. 

Furthermore, the strike killed the Khawarij commander identified as Yaseen alias Abdullah, along with one of his close associates. 

Additionally, two other terrorists sustained serious injuries in the incident.

 

The slain commander, Yaseen alias Abdullah, was considered a high-value target, known for orchestrating ambushes and coordinating logistical support for terrorist cells operating in Khyber and adjoining tribal areas.

This incident also mentions the growing reliance on drone technology in Pakistan’s counter-terrorism strategy, offering precise engagement with minimal collateral damage.
