SHENZHEN: Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture, Attaullah Tarar, said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has introduced innovation within the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Speaking to the media in Shenzhen, Tarar said a new chapter in CPEC is beginning under the Prime Minister’s vision.
He shared that over 500 Pakistani and Chinese businessmen took part in the Business-to-Business (B2B) Conference held in Shenzhen.
“The relationship between Pakistan and China is entering a new era,” the minister said. “This is a major milestone for Pakistan’s economy.”
He added that B2B meetings and conferences in Shenzhen would strengthen Pakistan’s economic development and stability.
Tarar also met the owner of a mobile phone company whose factory is already operational in Pakistan. He said the company plans to export its phones from Pakistan.
He noted that discussions on electric vehicle manufacturing also took place.
Tarar confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet Chinese leaders in Beijing.
“With Allah’s grace, Pakistan will make rapid progress through these efforts,” the minister said.
