NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Pakistani security forces have killed 17 terrorists of Fitna al Khawarij who attempted to infiltrate Pakistan from Afghanistan.
As per reports, the infiltration attempts took place on Wednesday along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Saidgai Valley area of the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
They were spotted while cutting the fence, surrounded, effectively engaged from three sides by Pakistani forces. The security forces used quadcopter drones to strike their positions.
As a result, 17 terrorists were killed while seven others were injured.
A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was recovered from the scene.

“The terrain left them no route to retreat,” an official said.
The area is known for activity by the Hafiz Gul Bahadar group, and officials believe the attackers were linked to this faction.
A clearance operation is still underway to locate any remaining infiltrators. There has been no comment yet from Taliban media outlets.
