Justice for Musawir Kakar is my duty: Balochistan CM

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has strongly condemned the brutal killing of Musawir Kakar, a prominent figure and a respected voice in the province. 

In this sense, Musawir Kakar, known for his contributions to standing against oppression and terrorism, and his fearless voice for the rights of Balochistan’s people, was reportedly shot dead by ISIS-Daesh in Quetta earlier this week. 

The assassination has been widely condemned across Pakistan, with political leaders,  and human rights organizations.

In this sense, Chief Minister Bugti assured the public that the government is treating this case with the utmost seriousness. He added that law enforcement agencies have been directed to expedite their investigation and leave no stone unturned.

The Chief Minister also expressed solidarity with the family of the late Musawir Kakar, offering condolences and ensuring that the provincial government would support them throughout the legal process.

The killing has once again highlighted the urgent need for stronger protections for journalists, activists, and civil society members working in conflict-prone regions like Balochistan.
