Fitna al Hindustan claims responsibility for assassinating Ataur Rahman Mengal

Atta-ur-Rehman Mengal,

QUETTA: Fitna al Hindustan, a term used for the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists, on Monday claimed responsibility for the killing of Ataur Rahman Mengal, a patriotic figure and son of former Chief Minister Naseer Mengal.

On June 22, 2025, the BLA terrorists opened fire on Ataur Rahman in the Aranji area of Wadh Tehsil, Khuzdar, martyring him and injuring his young grandson.

The internationally designated terrorist group issued a statement saying that the BLA’s intelligence wing and operational unit carried out a joint and coordinated military operation in Aranji, targeting and killing Ataur Rahman along with his associates.

The group claimed the operation followed “Zarab’s long-term intelligence gathering, continuous surveillance, and thorough investigation of the target’s activities.” The operational unit, according to the statement, completed the mission and returned safely to its positions.
