QUETTA: Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Mir Atta-ur-Rehman Mengal.
He prayed for his forgiveness and for patience and strength for the bereaved family. He also prayed for the swift recovery of Mir Mati-ur-Rehman Mengal.
Condemning the cowardly terrorist attack, he assured that the Balochistan government will conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and bring the terrorists to justice.
He added that the government and people of Balochistan stand united against terrorism and will not tolerate any such acts.
It is worth mentioning that earlier this morning, around thirty unidentified armed men attacked the convoy of Mir Atta-ur-Rehman. As a result of the terrorist assault, Mir Atta-ur-Rehman was martyred while his son was seriously injured.

Note: Over the past two years, Balochistan has witnessed a disturbing rise in militant attacks targeting both security forces and prominent figures.
Numerous incidents involving ambushes, IED explosions, and targeted killings have taken place in districts such as Mastung, Kech, Panjgur, and Turbat.
These attacks have claimed the lives of several personnel from the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and police, along with tribal elders and political leaders.
