CM Bugti inaugurates Balochistan’s first modern digital library in Gwadar

QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti inaugurated the state-of-the-art Zahoor Shah Hashmi Digital Library in Gwadar, built at a cost of Rs. 60 million.

CM Balochistan described the digital library as a symbol of knowledge, awareness and development. The facility houses over  300,000 digitized books with dedicated halls for women, children and students, a fully air-conditioned environment and 24/7 power through a solar system.

The Chief Minister emphasized that this is more than a library; it is a stepping stone for the youth’s future.

He announced laptops and preparatory books for Gwadar’s students and urged them to walk the path of education, peace and progress.

CM Bugti made it clear that the government will stand with every youth who chooses knowledge and rejects extremism.

He also encouraged deputy commissioners in other districts to adopt similar models to promote a culture of reading and research across Balochistan.
