Secretary Population Welfare inaugurates vaccination centre

QUETTA: The Secretary of the Population Welfare Department, Abdullah Khan, inaugurated a Static Vaccination Centre at the Regional Training Institute (RTI), Reproductive Health Centre in Nawa Killi.

The Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) Balochistan supported the establishment of this EPI Centre.

The centre aims to promote functional integration between the Population Welfare and Health Departments. This will help improve service delivery.

Speaking at the event, Secretary Abdullah Khan said the department is setting up vaccination sites within Reproductive Health Centres and Family Welfare Centres. These centres will now offer integrated services.

The services include primary healthcare (PHC), nutrition, reproductive health, and family planning. The goal is to improve health indicators and prevent unintended pregnancies.
