TEHRAN: Two Pakistanis have been killed in the Iranian city of Sarbaz. According to the victims’ families, the deceased were from Ahmadpur Sharqia and Karachi, and both worked at a barber shop in Iran.
Mujahid, who belonged to Bahawalpur, had been working in Iran for several years, according to his brother. He stated that the suspects not only killed his brother last night but also sent a video of the murder.
Farooq, the victim’s brother, said that the assailants had abducted Mujahid and demanded ransom. He has appealed to the government to help bring back his brother’s body.
Farooq further stated that the second victim, Mohammad Faheem, was a laborer from Karachi.
It is worth noting that just two months ago, eight laborers from Bahawalpur district were also killed in Iran.
It is also important to remind that in the past as well, incidents of Pakistani laborers being killed in Iran have occurred.
Pakistan has raised this issue with Iran on multiple occasions through diplomatic channels.
