ISLAMABAD: Victor Gao, the Vice President of Center for China and Globalization Vice President and a senior Chinese analyst has said that China is situated at the top of India, and it will not remain silent in case India tries to stop the flow of rivers to Pakistan.
While giving an interview to Indian news channel, Victor Gao said that China will consider any such attempt by India as an attack on its alliance with Pakistan.
He said that India should bear this thing in mind that it lies at the center of rivers originating from China adding that if it commits water aggression against Pakistan, it can imagine what China will do in such circumstances.
Gao further said that China supports complete protection of Pakistan’s security, sovereignty and rights. We will never compromise on Pakistan’s interests. He added that there exists the Indus Waters Treaty between India and Pakistan, its violation will be a breach of international law.

Defence experts, on the other hand, have said that China might use the Brahamputra Card in the event of India blocking the flow of rivers to Pakistan.
