QUETTA: The Balochistan Department of Culture organized a prestigious seminar titled Yousaf Aziz Magsi: The First Torchbearer in the Journey of Knowledge and Awareness to honor the life and legacy of Mir Yousaf Aziz Magsi, an intellectual, reformist, and visionary leader of Balochistan.
The event brought together scholars, students, and government officials to indicate Magsi’s literary, ideological, and societal contributions, with a strong focus on promoting his message to younger generations.
Furthermore, in the provincial capital, the seminar underscored the positive image of Balochistan as a land of progressive thought, cultural richness, and intellectual heritage. Mir Yousaf Aziz Magsi was praised for his relentless commitment to education, social reform, and modernity, long before such ideas gained mainstream acceptance in the region.

However, the Department of Culture announced several key initiatives, including the creation of the Yousaf Aziz Magsi Auditorium, the Yousaf Aziz Magsi Chair in the Directorate of Culture, the Annual Yousaf Aziz Magsi Award, the Yousaf Aziz Magsi Library, and the construction of a memorial statue.
