Government Announces Public Holiday Across Balochistan on Youm-e-Takbeer

QUETTA: The provincial government has announced a public holiday across the Balochistan on Wednesday (today) to observe the Youm-e-Takbeer.

According to the notification issued by the provincial government, all government and private offices will remain closed on May 28.

The federal government had included May 28 in the list of public holidays last year, and there will be a public holiday across the country on Youm-e-Takbeer.

The Sindh government has also announced a public holiday on Wednesday.

It is worthy to be noted that Pakistan responded to India’s nuclear explosions with explosions in Chagai on May 28, 1998. After the nuclear explosions 27 years ago, Pakistan achieved the honor of becoming the first nuclear power in the Muslim world and the 7th nuclear power in the world.
