QUETTA: The death toll from the Khuzdar bus blast has risen to 10 after another female student succumbed to injuries on Monday.
Sheema Ibrahim, daughter of a Levies official, had been in critical condition and battling for life for six days after the deadly suicide attack on her bus in Khuzdar on May 21, 2025.
She was treated at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta, but she succumbed to her injuries.
The death toll now includes 10 students—8 of them girls—and two adults. On the day of the attack, three students, Saniya Soomro (Grade 6), Hafza Kausar (Grade 7), and Ayesha Saleem (Grade 10), died at the scene.
In the following days, Haider, Malaika, and Sehr Saleem also died from their injuries. One student’s identity remains unconfirmed.
The deadly blast occurred when a school bus carrying students to the Army Public School in Khuzdar Cantonment was targeted near Zero Point on the Quetta-Karachi highway. Police have filed a case at the CTD station in Khuzdar. The FIR includes charges of murder, attempted murder, and terrorism.
