ISLAMABAD – In a momentous ceremony held in the federal capital, Army Chief General Asim Munir was formally conferred the prestigious title of Field Marshal.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, chiefs of all armed forces, and foreign dignitaries.

President Zardari and Prime Minister Sharif jointly presented General Asim Munir with the Field Marshal’s Baton, marking a historic milestone in Pakistan’s military history.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing the gathering, declared the day as “historic and a source of national pride,” emphasizing the valiant achievements of Pakistan’s military.

He stated, “Our brave armed forces have shattered the arrogance of the enemy, and our military leadership has secured unparalleled victories.”
