KOHLU: A grand and dignified ceremony was held at Quaid English Grammar School Kohlu to mark Gratitude Day, paying tribute to the Pakistan Army and especially the Pakistan Air Force for their role in Operation Bunyan Al Marsous. The event was supported by PIDS and PPAF.
Commandant of the Maiwand Brigade, Colonel Farooq Ashraf, was the chief guest.
Other notable attendees included Wing Commander Lt. Col. Taha Ali Khan, Major Tahir, Chairman District Council Mir Nisar Ahmed Marri, tribal leader Jumma Khan Marri, and several heads of local educational institutions.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by national songs, speeches, and skits performed by students.
The speeches highlighted the bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces, particularly the Air Force. In his address, Colonel Farooq Ashraf emphasized the army’s crucial role in ensuring the country’s security and peace, noting that Operation Bunyan Al Marsous significantly contributed to long-term stability.
