Call for Dignified Public Service Culture in Balochistan

QUETTA: Social circles in Balochistan have expressed concern over the lack of respect and dignity shown to ordinary citizens in the province. They believe that, unlike in other major cities like Lahore, Islamabad, or Karachi—where officials interact politely and allow citizens to voice their concerns—people in Balochistan often face harsh and dismissive behavior from public servants, especially in police stations, hospitals, NADRA offices, and electricity departments. This mistreatment, they argue, stems from the unchecked authority and power of officials. Such behavior, they warn, not only frustrates the public but also fuels resentment, potentially leading to rebellious attitudes.
