Three Dead, Five Injured in Firing at MPA Ayub Gadhi’s Residence

TOBA TEK SINGH: At least three people were killed and five others injured when unidentified opponents opened indiscriminate firing at the camp of former provincial minister and sitting member of the Punjab Assembly, Ayub Khan Gadhi, in Toba Tek Singh on Sunday.

 

According to police sources, the attackers targeted the camp of the provincial lawmaker, resulting in multiple casualties. Ayub Khan Gadhi himself was wounded in the exchange of fire and was immediately shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical.

 

The violent incident has prompted swift action from top provincial police officials. Inspector General (IG) of Police Punjab, Abdul Karim, took immediate notice of the firing on the MPA. He has requested a detailed report from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Faisalabad.

 

In a series of directives aimed at bringing the perpetrators to justice, IG Punjab ordered the District Police Officer (DPO) of Toba Tek Singh to ensure the immediate arrest of all accused involved in the attack. The IG emphasized that all available resources should be utilized to apprehend the culprits.

 

Senior police officers and forensic teams have already reached the crime scene. Officials confirmed that evidence has been collected from the site. Multiple specialized teams have been constituted to track down and arrest the accused. Police authorities have assured that the responsible individuals will be arrested soon. Further investigation is underway.
