11 Militants Killed in Security Operations in Balochistan, KP

QUETTA: Security forces killed 11 militants in separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, security sources said on Thursday.

The operations targeted militants linked to Fitna al-Khawarij in South Waziristan and Bannu, as well as Fitna al-Hindustan in Khuzdar district.

In Bannu, security forces killed two militants during an intelligence-based operation. They also recovered weapons and ammunition from the area.

The forces also destroyed a militant hideout with explosives, the sources said.

Meanwhile, troops conducted an intelligence-based operation in Ladha, South Waziristan. They killed five militants after tracking their movement and surrounding them.

The forces then launched an effective assault after confirming their presence, the sources said.

In Balochistan, security forces killed four militants during an operation against Fitna al-Hindustan in Sasol, Khuzdar district.

The forces used quadcopters to target the militants, according to the sources.

Security sources said the operations focused on protecting civilians. They added that the forces took measures to prevent damage to civilian life and property.

The latest operations come as security forces continue intelligence-based actions against militant groups in both provinces.
