PANJGUR: Security forces successfully foiled a major terrorist plot in Panjgur district on Thursday, eliminating all six Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) militants involved in a planned ambush, according to official sources.
Acting on precise local intelligence, security personnel executed a counter-ambush operation against the militant group, who were traveling on motorcycles in the area. All six BLA terrorists were neutralized on-site, preventing what could have been a deadly attack on security forces or civilians.
Following the engagement, security forces recovered a heavy cache of weapons from the scene, including automatic rifles, ammunition, and other military-grade equipment. The operation is part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna, aimed at eliminating militant networks operating in Balochistan’s border districts.
Local authorities have confirmed that the area has been sanitized and no further threats remain. Security forces continue to maintain a high alert status across the region.
The successful operation has been praised by local residents, who have long suffered from extortion and violence perpetrated by militant groups in the mineral-rich but volatile district.
