QUETTA: Balochistan’s Provincial Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove, held negotiations with a trader delegation led by Rahim Agha, the central president of the Anjuman-e-Tajiran Balochistan.
The meeting was also attended by Special Assistant to the Home Department Babar Yousafzai and the Deputy Commissioner of Quetta.
During the talks, the Home Minister acknowledged protest as a democratic right and assured the business community that resolving their grievances is a priority for the government, with emergency measures underway to secure national highways.
He remarked that Afghan soil is being used for terrorism in Balochistan, noting that targeting innocent youth and women goes against local traditions and that a few individuals are attempting to spread instability at the behest of a hostile country.
In response, Rahim Agha highlighted the business community’s serious concerns regarding the burning of trucks and bowsers on Balochistan’s national highways, as well as issues related to the Metropolitan Corporation.
Both sides agreed to continue discussions in a follow-up meeting.
