QUETTA: The passenger vehicle travelling from Zhob to Karachi came under a terrorist attack near Mangochar in Balochistan’s Kalat district, leaving a woman dead and two other passengers, including a child, seriously injured.
The sudden attack caused panic among the passengers, while the vehicle sustained damage from multiple bullets.
In this regard, a woman suffering from an illness lost her life at the scene. Two other passengers, including a child, sustained serious injuries and were immediately shifted to a nearby medical facility for emergency treatment.
The body of the deceased woman was shifted to a nearby hospital for legal formalities before being handed over to her family. Meanwhile, the injured passengers continue to receive treatment under medical supervision.
In this sense, the government officials strongly condemned the attack and reaffirmed their commitment to bringing those responsible to justice. Authorities said investigations are underway, and further details will be shared as more information becomes available.
The incident mentions the ongoing security challenges faced by travellers on some routes in the province and underscores the importance of continued efforts to ensure the safety of civilians using public roads.
