GWADAR: Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman directed officials to expedite the operationalization of new water pipelines to ensure a timely supply to citizens during a meeting with the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) on Wednesday.
The meeting, led by GDA Director General Moin ur Rehman Khan, included briefings from Chief Engineer Haji Syed Muhammad on ongoing development projects and from Project Director Mir Jan Baloch on the city’s water situation and future plans.
MPA Rehman welcomed the recent government decision to place the entire water supply system under the GDA’s control. To facilitate connections, he announced a relaxation in house connection fees and urged residents to submit their applications promptly.

DG Khan stated that GDA teams are working “round the clock” to ensure an uninterrupted water supply from Shadi Kaur to Gwadar. He credited the government’s decision to the public’s confidence in the authority and called for cooperation from both public representatives and the community for the projects’ success.
