 USTA MUHAMMAD; Police in Usta Muhammad have conducted successful operations, leading to the arrest of several individuals accused of drug trafficking and fraud.

The actions were carried out under the directives of Senior Superintendent Ghulam Hussain Bajoi. In the first operation, a drug dealer was apprehended by officers from the Saddar Police Station. The suspect was found in possession of 500 grams of charas and 5 grams of the drug known as ‘ice’ or crystal meth. A formal case has been registered against him.

In a separate operation, the City Police Station team arrested two individuals who were wanted as absconders in a fraud case. They had been evading authorities following the registration of a case against them.

Senior Superintendent Bajoi commended the police teams for their work. He reaffirmed that a zero-tolerance policy is in effect against criminals and drug peddlers in the district, emphasizing the police’s commitment to eradicating crime and creating a drug-free society.

Last week the Pakistan Navy has earned international praise after a major anti-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea led to the seizure of illegal drugs with an estimated value of nearly one billion US dollars.

The successful mission was carried out by the naval ship PNS Yarmouk, which is part of a multinational maritime force, Combined Task Force 150, led by Saudi Arabia. In a swift 48-hour operation, the crew intercepted two suspicious vessels.

From these boats, the navy confiscated a huge haul of narcotics, including two tonnes of crystal meth, 350 kilograms of the drug ‘ice’, and 50 kilograms of cocaine.

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) officially commended the Pakistan Navy for its professionalism and the success of the operation. The Commander of the Royal Saudi Navy, Fahad Al-Juweid, also praised the bust, describing it as an excellent example of effective global cooperation in securing maritime routes.
