SIBI: Unknown assailants carried out a sabotage attack in Sibi district, blowing up a gas pipeline with explosives near the Sibi Teaching Hospital, authorities said.
According to local sources, the explosion severely damaged a 4-inch diameter gas pipeline. Police reported that the blast affected approximately 2 to 4 feet of the pipeline and also damaged the main valve supplying gas to the area, leading to a suspension of gas supply in various parts of the district.
A large contingent of security forces and police reached the spot immediately after the incident, cordoned off the area, and began collecting evidence. Authorities stated that an investigation is ongoing, and a search operation has been launched to find the saboteurs.
No group has claimed responsibility so far.
