NEW DELHI: Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has called for the creation of a protected Christian homeland in India, to be named “Trump Land.”
Citing the United Nations–recognised right to self-determination, the group released a proposed map for the territory in northeast India. SFJ said the plan aims to provide a secure homeland for India’s Christian population.
SFJ, which is organising a global Khalistan referendum, formally unveiled the proposal this week. The group said the proposed territory would be named after former US President Donald Trump.
SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun urged Trump to intervene directly in the matter. He said Christians in India face increasing violence and repression.
Pannun said that while the world celebrated Christmas, Christian communities in India faced organized attacks and intimidation. He accused the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of endangering religious minorities, including Christians and Sikhs.
He said the proposed homeland would cover India’s northeastern “Seven Sister States,” where Christian communities are historically rooted. The region includes Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, and Assam, which together have large Christian populations.
SFJ described “Trump Land” as a secure Christian corridor designed to shelter millions of people. Pannun said Christians in the region face persecution due to what he called oppressive state policies.
He alleged that under Modi’s government, Bible preaching has been criminalized, churches have been burned, Christian neighborhoods attacked, and families displaced.
SFJ said violence against minorities in India follows a systematic pattern driven by Hindutva ideology. Pannun cited remarks by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, who has described India as a Hindu state.
He said people in India are being pressured to worship Hindu deities, while followers of Jesus Christ face targeting and harassment.
Pannun said Trump is the only global leader with the authority, influence, and resolve to intervene. SFJ continues to organize the Khalistan referendum worldwide, a process the Indian government has declared illegal.
He said an independent Khalistan and a secure Christian homeland could emerge as strong and loyal US allies in South Asia.
SFJ urged the US administration to support what it described as a democratic self-determination process.
