Trump Warns Iran of severe consequences, claims fresh US strikes on military targets

WASHINGTON: The United States President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, saying the Islamic Republic could face devastating consequences if it fails to change its course.

The statements came in a post shared on his social media platform, Truth Social, where he also claimed that the United States had carried out fresh military strikes against Iranian targets.

The latest US operation targeted facilities used for storing missiles and drones, as well as coastal radar sites inside Iran. He stated that the strikes were conducted in response to what he described as Iran’s violation of a ceasefire agreement.

Trump said the United States had acted after Iran allegedly breached the ceasefire for a second time. He added that the US Air Force had successfully struck missile and drone storage facilities along with coastal radar installations.

“They violated the ceasefire agreement again. It is possible they will never learn,” Trump wrote in his statement.

The US president further warned that Washington could take additional military action if necessary. He said there may come a point when the United States would no longer be able to exercise restraint and would instead complete what he described as an operation that had already begun successfully.

“If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist,” Trump warned, emphasizing that the United States was prepared to respond decisively if Iran continued its alleged violations.

In a separate statement, President Trump also rejected claims that the United States had provided any financial assistance to Iran, saying that Washington had not given Tehran any money.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces had conducted military operations targeting Iran’s military surveillance systems, communication infrastructure, air defense installations, drone storage sites, and mine-laying capabilities.

The strikes were carried out in response to what it described as Iranian aggression and attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

The latest developments mark another escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran, raising concerns over regional stability and the possibility of further military confrontation.

However, Iranian authorities had not immediately responded to President Trump’s latest claims at the time of filing this report, and the allegations could not be independently verified.
