Three Rangers Personnel Martyred as Pakistan Foils Terrorist Attack on Karachi Camp

KARACHI: Three Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) personnel were martyred and four others injured after terrorists attacked a Rangers camp in Karachi on Saturday, as per the statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The attack began with an explosion at the main gate of the Pakistan Rangers camp, after which the attackers attempted to breach the camp’s perimeter security. Rangers troops responded swiftly and effectively, thwarting the assault before the attackers could achieve their objective.

The statement said three Fitna al Hindustan terrorists were killed during the exchange of fire, while another suspect was captured in an injured condition. ISPR identified the arrested suspect as an Afghan national.

The military further alleged that the attackers belonged to Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, which it described as an Indian proxy. These claims have not been independently verified.

During the operation, three Rangers personnel embraced martyrdom in the line of duty, while four soldiers sustained injuries. The injured personnel are receiving medical treatment, according to the statement.

In this regard, the ISPR said sanitization operations are continuing in and around the area to ensure that no other attackers remain present. The military added that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue counterterrorism operations under the national campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam” to eliminate what it described as foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.

The military also stated that Pakistan would undertake retribution operations against those responsible for the attack, saying such actions would be carried out in response to the martyrdom of the security personnel.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Staff (CDF) expressed their deepest condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers. The military leadership paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the fallen personnel, stating that their sacrifices further strengthen Pakistan’s resolve to safeguard the country’s security and defeat terrorism.
