LAHORE: The Punjab Agriculture Department has brought good news for farmers at the start of 2026, announcing that the lottery for the third phase of the Punjab Green Tractors Program will be held very soon. In this phase, 10,000 green tractors with 50 to 65 horsepower will be distributed.
The process for submitting applications will commence on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, with the deadline set for January 20, 2026.
Farmers can apply or seek further information by contacting the Punjab Agriculture Department’s Agricultural Helpline at 0800-17000.
It is noteworthy that in the program’s second phase, 734,000 farmer’s submitted applications, of which 282,000 were deemed eligible for the lottery, and 9,500 farmers were declared successful.
According to statistics, 98 percent of the applicants in the program preferred locally manufactured tractors, while only 2 percent applied for larger and advanced imported models.
Due to the rising demand for imported tractors, foreign dealer companies have already established their dealerships and business offices in Punjab.
