DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Security forces successfully repulsed a terrorist ambush in Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, killing four terrorists during a swift and coordinated response.
The incident occurred when a group of terrorists attempted to ambush a security patrol in the Kulachi tehsil. The troops, anticipating hostile movement, effectively retaliated and engaged the attackers. In the ensuing exchange of fire, four terrorists were killed on the spot.
The slain terrorists were linked with Fitna Al Khawarij operating in the region. Security forces confirmed that the recovered weapons included automatic rifles, hand grenades, and other combat equipment, which were intended to be used in future attacks.
The Kulachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan, located near the tribal districts, has witnessed intermittent militant activity in recent years. However, authorities maintain that the overall security situation has improved significantly due to sustained counterterrorism measures.
