Tania Bazai demands apology from Imaan Mazari to IHC Chief Justice

Bazai argued that Imaan Mazari should apologize to the Chief Justice for her remarks. She stated that if a common citizen had made similar comments, they would have been jailed for contempt of court. She questioned why Mazari has not faced similar legal consequences.

In a recent podcast with host Burak Baloch, Advocate Tania Bazai commented strongly on the public argument between human rights lawyer Imaan Mazari and Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamer Farooq.

Bazai argued that Iman Mazari should apologize to the Chief Justice for her remarks. She stated that if a common citizen had made similar comments, they would have been jailed for contempt of court. She questioned why Mazari has not faced similar legal consequences.

The advocate then made a serious allegation, suggesting that if Imaan Mazari is “on the payroll of the CIA,” then she would be untouchable, implying that not even the Chief Justice could act against her in that scenario.

Further criticizing Mazari, Bazai accused her of having “taken benefits from the state” while simultaneously working to “defame the state.”

These comments highlight the intense public debate and strong opinions surrounding the incident and the individuals involved.
