Students' visit to FC Headquarters Balochistan highlights education

QUETTA: The students and faculty members from various educational institutions in Quetta paid a study visit to the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters, Balochistan (North). The visit aimed to promote awareness, strengthen national unity, and acknowledge the sacrifices made for peace and stability in the region.

In this sense, the delegation began their visit by laying floral wreaths at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada (Martyrs’ Memorial), paying rich tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty. 

The gesture resonated with sentiments of patriotism and gratitude, setting a tone of reverence for the rest of the visit.

In this regard, during the informative session, the students received a detailed briefing on FC’s vital role in border management, counterterrorism operations, anti-smuggling efforts, anti-narcotics campaigns, and social welfare initiatives across Balochistan. 

The presentation focused on how FC continues to contribute significantly to maintaining peace and order in the province.

Furthermore, Inspector General FC (North), Major General Abid Mazhar, personally interacted with the students, answering their queries and encouraging constructive dialogue.

The students expressed their deep appreciation for the opportunity, stating that the visit had broadened their understanding of state institutions and their relentless efforts to ensure security and development in Balochistan.

However, the delegation also visited the FC Museum, where they explored the rich historical context of Balochistan and the evolving role of FC in safeguarding the region.

In addition, faculty members and students alike thanked the FC for organizing such a meaningful and educational experience.
