ISLAMABAD: The Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has convened a meeting of parliamentary leaders on November 5 at the Parliament House to discuss the agenda and strategy for the upcoming session of the National Assembly.
The meeting, to be chaired by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, aims to ensure smooth proceedings during the National Assembly’s 21st session. The parliamentary leaders will deliberate on the proposed agenda, the duration of the session, and measures for maintaining decorum and order in the House.
Furthermore, the session is expected to take up a range of legislative, political, and public interest matters.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for all parliamentary parties to exchange views and build consensus on issues of national importance.
In addition, the Speaker is expected to seek input from both government and opposition leaders to finalize the framework for the session’s discussions.
The meeting will also serve as a platform to review legislative business and address key topics that are likely to come under debate in the coming weeks.
Moreover, those invited to attend include Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah; Federal Ministers Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Attaullah Tarar, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, and Khalid Hussain Magsi; as well as Members of the National Assembly Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, Nuzhat Sadiq, Ejaz Hussain Jakhrani, and Syed Naveed Qamar.
However, other prominent parliamentary leaders invited include Shazia Marri, Shehla Raza, Syed Aminul Haque, Syed Hafeezuddin, Asad Qaiser, Gohar Ali Khan, Malik Muhammad Aamir Dogar, Muhammad Riaz Fatyana, Noor Alam Khan, Gul Asghar Khan, Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq, and Hussain Elahi.
On the contrary, another amendment is going to table in the National Assembly soon. Meanwhile, certain quarters have raised questions against the 27th amendment. The reservation on this amendment have been rejected by Rana Sanaullah, the Political Advisor to on Geo News Talk Show.
In such a scenario, spokesperson for the National Assembly Secretariat confirmed that formal invitations have been sent to all parliamentary party leaders.
The spokesperson added that the meeting underlines the importance of parliamentary consultation in promoting effective governance and maintaining the dignity of the legislature.
