ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday congratulated Spain on winning the FIFA World Cup 2026, praising the team’s outstanding skill, unity, discipline, and teamwork throughout the tournament.
In a post on X, the prime minister said Spain delivered an exceptional performance and deserved the historic triumph.
Shehbaz also congratulated U.S. President Donald Trump and the American people for successfully hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He commended the governments and people of Canada and Mexico for their cooperation in co-hosting the global sporting event.
