Govt to Follow SC Verdict on PTI Chief’s Health: Tariq Fazal Chaudhry

Govt’s dialogue offer still on table, Tariq Fazal urges opposition to show seriousness

ISLAMABAD :Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has stated that the Supreme Court will implement its decision regarding PTI founder Imran Khan, while also suggesting that the government could facilitate the former prime minister’s travel abroad for medical treatment if needed.

Speaking on the program Capital Talk, the minister explained that the purpose of filing a review petition in the Supreme Court is to seek clarification of the court’s decision regarding the case.

Drawing a comparison with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s case, Chaudhry noted that the hospitals where Sharif was shifted during his imprisonment were government hospitals, and the government had decided to send him out of the country for medical reasons.

“If Imran Khan cannot be treated in a government hospital according to today’s prevailing laws, the government can send him for recovery and also send him out of the country,” Chaudhry said.

Meanwhile, PTI Parliamentary Leader Shahid Khattak distanced the party from individuals who made videos outside the hospital, declaring them unrelated to the party.

“We have told the court that no PTI worker will enter the hospital premises. At this time, our priority is Imran Khan’s health and his treatment,” Khattak said during his appearance on the program
