RAWALPINDI: General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, called on General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), at the Joint Staff Headquarters on Monday.
According to the ISPR, the media wing of the Pakistan Army, the two military leaders discussed the evolving global and regional security environment. They explored ways to deepen engagement between the armed forces of both countries. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence and security ties.
General Mirza reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity and protecting the Haramain al-Sharifain.
Gen. Al-Ruwaili praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He also acknowledged their sacrifices in counterterrorism operations.
The visiting general commended the CJCSC for his role in strengthening the Pakistan–Saudi strategic relationship.
On arrival, a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent presented a guard of honour to the Saudi dignitary.
Earlier today, Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyadh bin Hameed Al-Ruwaili met Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in Rawalpindi and agreed to strengthen defence cooperation and the Pakistan–Saudi strategic military partnership. Both sides also pledged to expand cooperation against terrorism.
According to the ISPR, the media affairs wing of the Pakistan Army, the Saudi Chief of General Staff visited the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi and held important talks with Field Marshal Munir. The two military leaders discussed the regional security situation, strategic cooperation, and bilateral defence ties.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhance defence collaboration, joint training, intelligence cooperation, and counterterrorism efforts.
