CHAGHI: A meeting of rhe Reko-Diq mining Company and the Nokundi Assocation was held today.
The Reko-Diq Mining Company (RCMC) and the Nokundi Traders Association vow to cooperate to increase the expertise of the regional traders, promoting the partnership opportunities and the strengthening the efficiency of the local traders.
The meeting was attended by the General Manager Ryan Mitchel, Procurement officials and the Nokundi Traders Association members.
The debate in the meeting was focused at the participation of the local business departments in the long-term mining projects.
It was fixed that the RDMC will conduct training programs for the local traders.
The traders will be enabled to get awareness of the international standards, fiscal discipline and organization, affective supply and competitive inclusion.
According to Ryan Mitchel, the training will include Chinese methodology and the safety standards.
Such move aim to provide the traders with the expertise which will enable them for a competitive inclusion in large projects like Reko- Diq.
Ryan Mitchel said ‘we believe that durable development can be initiated by empowering the local people.
He further said that we are launching a foundation of a long-term economical stability and over all development of the region by providing the traders and suppliers with the training and opportunities.
The Nokundi Traders Association hailed the move by the RDMC and said that such cooperation will enhance the local trade competency, raise competitive standard, and grow employment opportunity in Chaghi.
RDCM is committed to integrating local businesses into its supply chain and ensuring that stakeholders in the region directly benefit from the Reko Diq project.
Supply Chain Manager Juan Enslin stated that their goal is to make the people of Chaghi active partners in the project, enabling them to gain real economic advantages from it.
He emphasized that building strong partnerships with local traders is essential to achieving this shared vision.
