ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has announced a major push to develop the province’s tourism sector, aiming to highlight its positive and peaceful identity.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Balochistan Tourism Festival, the Chief Minister stated that the government will provide all facilities to investors through a single-window system under public-private partnerships. This is intended to remove bureaucratic obstacles and encourage investment.
He emphasized that the true identity of Balochistan’s people is one of “peace, love, and hospitality,” lamenting that the province is often only portrayed through negative news. He argued that a “few negative elements” do not represent the entire province.
“The real Balochistan is the guardian of natural beauty, charming landscapes, and unparalleled cultural heritage,” Bugti said, adding that this beauty needs to be discovered and shown to the world.
The Chief Minister also praised the performance of provincial officers selected on me on merit, naming several officials as practical examples of the hard work driving progress in the region.

Federal Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan has stated that it is time to show the world the real and positive aspects of Balochistan.
He was speaking at the Balochistan Grand Tourism Festival, where he emphasized the need to highlight the province’s beauty, culture, and the patriotism of its people to counter negative perceptions.
Minister Khan described the people of Balochistan as patriotic and proud custodians of their cultural heritage. He said promoting investment and tourism through such festivals is key to strengthening the province’s economy.
“The province should be known for its culture and natural beauty, not for a few negative incidents,” the Minister said.
Also speaking at the event, Nawabzada Mir Muhammad Zarin Khan Magsi said the festival is crucial for highlighting the true identity of Balochistan.
The Balochistan Grand Tourism Festival is currently being held at Lok Virsa in Islamabad. The event features music, handicrafts, food stalls, and cultural exhibits, serving as a vibrant display of the province’s heritage and landscapes.
