QUETTA: Balochistan is currently experiencing an intense heatwave, with temperatures nearing 50°C. According to the Meteorological Department, scorching weather continues across various parts of the province, while light rainfall is expected in some areas over the coming days.
In Quetta, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Meanwhile, Sibi remains gripped by extreme heat, with the mercury soaring to 49°C.
Turbat also ranked among the hottest regions, registering a peak temperature of 48°C. Areas like Naseerabad may witness partly cloudy skies.
The Met Office has predicted the possibility of light showers in regions such as Musakhel, Dera Bugti, and Zhob over the next few days, which may bring slight relief from the heat. In Nokundi, Noshki, and Taftan, intense daytime heat and hot winds are expected to persist, along with the chance of light drizzles at night.
