QUETTA: The Deputy Commissioner of Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, has chaired a meeting to address key issues in the district’s education sector.
A major decision was taken regarding schools operated by unregistered Afghan refugees. These schools, located in areas like Hazara Town and Pashtunabad, are run by and for Afghan citizens. Following a recent government decision, these schools will be sealed shut, and the Afghan teachers and students will be deported.

The meeting also addressed the problem of land encroachment on school properties. Officials were directed to ensure all illegal encroachments are removed from schools like Chashma Achozai and Nawab Akbar Bugti within one week.
Additionally, discussions were held to resolve the payment of salaries for newly appointed teachers.
