President, PM praise security forces for foiling terrorist infiltration attempts in KP

ISLAMABAD: The President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended Pakistan’s security forces for successfully thwarting infiltration attempts and conducting decisive operations against the India-backed militant group Fitna al-Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The Presidency and the Prime Minister’s Office, both leaders confirmed the nation’s constant resolve to eliminate terrorism and safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty.

They lauded the courage and professionalism of the armed forces, focusing that the entire nation stands united behind them in the fight against extremism.

Furthermore, President Zardari gave a rich tribute to the security personnel for their timely and effective response, describing their success as crucial for ensuring peace and stability in the country.

“The operations carried out by our brave soldiers reflect the nation’s strong commitment to defeating terrorism and preserving internal security,” he said.

In this regard, Pakistan’s firm stance against militancy, the President said that the ongoing counterterrorism campaign under Azm-e-Istehkam would continue until the complete eradication of terrorist elements.

He expressed confidence that the sacrifices of the security forces would pave the way for lasting peace and prosperity in the region.

“The continuation of Azm-e-Istehkam is essential to safeguard Pakistan’s defense and sovereignty,” the President added, praying for the safety, unity, and stability of the nation.

Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a separate statement, also lauded the successful counterterrorism operations in North Waziristan and Tank districts, where three militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij were killed.

He praised the dedication of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in defending the nation against internal and external threats.

However, both the President and the Prime Minister confirmed that Pakistan’s security forces would continue their operations with full public and governmental support until the country is completely rid of the scourge of terrorism.

They expressed hope that national unity and determination would strengthen Pakistan’s path toward enduring peace and stability.
