ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Iran on July 3 to attend the funeral of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, martyred in on February 28 in a major attack on Iran launched by Israel and the United States.
Sources state that officials are currently finalising the arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit. A high-level delegation will accompany Sharif to the capital city.
During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif will also meet with top Iranian leaders and government officials.
The leaders will discuss matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations, and the overall security situation in the region.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei funeral delayed several times due to wartime conditions.
